Four Structural Designs for Optimal Stability

Four Structural Designs for Optimal Stability

To ensure the highest stability and rigidity for different machining applications, TAIKAN provides four types of structural designs:

  • Fixed Beam Gantry Structure – The beam remains stationary, ideal for high-precision, heavy-duty cutting.

  • Moving Column Gantry Structure – The spindle moves along the X-axis, suitable for long-travel machining of large workpieces.

  • Moving Column & Moving Beam Gantry Structure – The combination of moving column and moving beam provides greater flexibility for large-scale machining.

  • Bridge-Type Gantry Structure – A highly rigid bridge-style frame, ensuring high dynamic performance for complex five-axis machining.

Three Feed Drive Methods for Optimized Machining Efficiency

Three Feed Drive Methods for Optimized Machining Efficiency

TAIKAN offers three feed drive methods to ensure high precision and power efficiency across different machining conditions:

  • Direct Drive – The direct-drive motor connects directly to the ball screw, reducing transmission loss and improving dynamic response, ideal for precision machining.

  • Belt Drive – The synchronous belt drives the ball screw, ensuring smooth operation for various general machining applications.

  • Gearbox Drive – A gear reduction system provides high torque output, perfect for heavy-duty cutting and large workpiece machining.

Three Z-Axis (Spindle Headstock) Configurations for Enhanced Rigidity & Stability

Three Z-Axis (Spindle Headstock) Configurations for Enhanced Rigidity & Stability

The Z-axis (spindle headstock) is available in three configurations to suit different machining requirements:

  • Linear Rail – Ensures smooth movement, suitable for high-speed precision mold machining.

  • T-Type Hard Rail – Improves Z-axis rigidity and stability, ideal for heavy-duty cutting.

  • Box Way Hard Rail – Enhances vibration resistance and load capacity, making it ideal for machining large workpieces with high rigidity requirements.

Additionally, all Z-axis configurations are equipped with a nitrogen balancing system, effectively reducing spindle weight, increasing servo system lifespan, and improving machining accuracy.

Six Spindle Head Configurations for Expanded Machining Capabilities

Six Spindle Head Configurations for Expanded Machining Capabilities

To accommodate a wide range of machining requirements, TAIKAN offers six spindle head configurations:

  • Direct-Drive Spindle – High speed and precision, suitable for precision part machining.

  • Electric Spindle – Low noise and high-speed operation, perfect for high-finish machining.

  • Belt Spindle – Stable operation, adaptable to various machining conditions.

  • Gear Spindle – High torque output for heavy-duty cutting applications.

  • Fully Automatic 90° Head – Enables five-face machining, improving machining flexibility and efficiency by completing multiple surfaces in a single setup.

  • Fork-Type Dual-Swing Milling Head – Supports multi-angle positioning or five-axis simultaneous machining, ideal for complex-shaped workpieces and high-precision large mold machining.
