Table of Content [Hide]

In an era where manufacturing demands increasingly complex, high-precision parts from challenging materials, the capability of your machine tool is paramount. The ST-265II CNC Swiss-type lathe stands at the forefront of this evolution, engineered to deliver unmatched performance, flexibility, and value in the realm of precision turning.

     ST-265II CNC Swiss-type

This advanced 5 axis swiss lathe is designed from the ground up to meet diverse customer requirements, combining high efficiency, remarkable speed, exceptional accuracy, and outstanding cost-effectiveness. Its core philosophy is complete machining in a single setup. By integrating multiple operations into one seamless cycle, the ST-265II effectively eliminates cumulative errors associated with secondary fixturing, dramatically enhancing part accuracy and slashing production cycle times.

    Engineered for Rigidity and Performance

The ST-265II is built on a bed optimized through Finite Element Analysis (FEA), ensuring high rigidity and superior vibration damping for stable, reliable machining. It excels in processing high-rigidity materials, notably stainless steel, and offers comprehensive capabilities including turning, milling, drilling, and boring.

At its heart is a robust double spindle cnc machine configuration, featuring two independent systems and integral motor spindles. The main spindle achieves a maximum speed of 8,000 RPM, coupled with rapid axis movements of 32 m/min. Standard-equipped with the powerful and user-friendly Mitsubishi CNC system, it is driven by a 5.5 kW spindle motor, with 1 kW motors for feed axes and driven tools.

Key Design Advantages for Superior Results

The machine employs a unique horizontal tool arrangement. This Swiss lathe machine design offers significant benefits for demanding applications: enhanced capability for heavy-duty cutting, exceptional structural rigidity, and improved chip evacuation – a critical advantage when machining sticky materials like stainless steel to prevent residue buildup.

The modular tooling system supports quick-change synchronous guide bushings, facilitating fast job changeovers and non-productive time reduction.

    Enhanced Features for Expanded Capabilities

To further meet the market's need for higher precision and productivity, the ST-265II incorporates several key upgrades:

    • Five side-milling driven tool stations are now standard (increased from four), enabling more complex geometries in one setup and further mitigating alignment errors.

    • The driven tool motor power is upgraded to 1 kW, providing ample torque for more aggressive milling, drilling, and tapping operations on complex workpieces. This reduces tool changes and associated costs.

    • The maximum machining length has been increased to 240 mm, significantly boosting productivity for longer components.

    • All machines feature the Mitsubishi system with a secondary-developed thermal compensation interface, ensuring consistent accuracy from cold start to continuous operation.
